Joie Jager, the designer of Soixante Neuf Inc., was born in Los Angeles and raised in Northern California. This self-taught artist has been designing since her late teens. At 18 she designed her first collection, a trendy bustier line with hand sewn semi-precious beads. After that she moved to New York City to study at New York University where she caught the acting bug. After several student films and crazy New York living, she moved back to Los Angeles and continued with her acting. On the set of one of her films, to pass the time, she began making herself jewelry. About a year or so later she began selling to local Los Angeles stores. It was then that a jewelry rep "discovered" her designs. The hobby became a full time venture, and Soixante Neuf was born. Now Soixante Neuf jewelry can be seen across the country from New York to Los Angeles, to Europe and Japan, and in magazines such as WWD, InStyle, and Lucky, to name a few.
